Uniform Policy

The Visitation BVM School uniform is worn by every student in grades K through 8 and should be worn with a sense of dignity.

**Note: Flynn & O’Hara will custom make a uniform for any student whose height, weight, or build deters the regulation proper fit of the ready-made uniforms.

Pre-Kindergarten Dress Code

 Pre-school students may wear the official gym uniform as described below or wear play clothes dressed for the season. Sneakers daily.  Starting in August 2026, PreK students will wear the gym uniform.
 
Kindergarten
 
 Visitation Gym Uniform; ankle length white socks; sneakers (no light-up shoes)
 

UNIFORM CHANGES FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - WILL BE POSTED SOON
Girls 1^st - 8^th Grades 
 
The winter uniform is permitted year-round, but must be worn November 1^st through March 31st.  The summer uniform is optional and can be worn during a specified time period.
 
 Winter - 1st – 5th Grade  - 

• Plaid jumper (less than 3 inches above knee)
• Light blue blouse (long/short sleeve with peter-pan collar)
• Light blue turtleneck
• Navy blue cardigan sweater, ¼ zip sweater, 1/4 zip sweatshirt, or full-zip fleece with school logo (optional item)
  1. No hoodies or other branded sweatshirts/sweaters etc., are allowed. 
• Navy blue knee-high socks or solid navy tights
• Shoe-Buc Academy/Buc Hushpuppy Tuft or Oxford Tie Shoe from Flynn & O’Hara or Flocco’s stores.

 Winter 6th – 8th Grade

• Plaid uniform skirt (less than 3 inches above knee)
• Light blue blouse (long/short sleeve with button-down oxford collar)
• Optional items: Navy blue V-neck or ¼ zip sweater, 1/4 zip sweatshirt, school sweater, V-neck vest, or full-zip fleece with school logo
  1. No hoodies or other branded sweatshirts/sweaters etc., are allowed.  
• Navy blue knee-high socks or solid navy tights
• NEW 11-2024:   (Additional Option) School-branded navy leggings with a navy sock that covers the ankle. If wearing leggings, the sock must cover the ankle and the logo must be present and visible.  All other leggings will no longer be allowed after December 20, 2024. 
• Shoe-Buc Academy/Buc Hushpuppy Tuft or Oxford Tie Shoe from Flynn & O’Hara or Flocco’s stores

• Navy blue skort-no belt (less than 3 inches above knee)
• Navy blue shorts w/ belt (less than 3 inches above knee)
• Navy, white, or yellow polo shirt with school logo (long or short sleeves)
• Ankle length socks (solid white or navy)
• Same shoes year-round

 Summer 6th – 8th Grades*

• Plaid uniform skirt (less than 3 inches above knee)
• Navy, white, or yellow polo shirt with school logo (long or short sleeves)
• Ankle length socks (solid white or navy)
• Same shoes year-round

 *The summer uniform is optional and is permitted from the start of school through Oct. 31^st and again from April 15^th through the end of school.
 

UNIFORM CHANGES FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - WILL BE POSTED SOON
Boys 1^st - 8^th Grade

 Winter 1st – 8th Grades

• Navy blue pants with belt loops and brown, black or navy belt
• Light blue oxford shirt (long/short sleeve)
• Visitation plaid tie
• Optional items: Navy blue cardigan, V-neck sweater, 1/4 zip sweatshirt, or vest, ¼ zip sweater, or full-zip fleece with school logo
  1. No hoodies or other branded sweatshirts/sweaters etc., are allowed.  
• Dress socks (navy, grey or black)
• Shoe- Buc Academy/Buc Hushpuppy Tuft or Oxford Tie Shoe from Flynn & O’Hara or Flocco’s stores

UNIFORM CHANGES FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - WILL BE POSTED SOON
 Summer 1st - 8th Grades*
 

• Navy blue shorts with loops and brown, black or navy belt
• Navy, grey, or white polo shirt (long or short sleeved) with school logo
• Ankle length socks (solid white or navy)
• Elite-Style socks are permitted: must be white with blue, or blue with white ONLY

Gym Uniform - Boys and Girls
 
 K-8 

• Navy sweatpants: 2 options on Flynn & O’Hara website or navy shorts with school logo (start of school through Oct 31st and again from April 15^th to the end of school) 
• Light blue tee-shirt with school logo (long or short sleeved). 
• Ankle length white socks or school logo socks
• Elite Style socks are permitted: must be white with blue, or blue with white ONLY
• Optional items: navy sweatshirt, (crew or ¼ zip), full-zip fleece with school logo.
  1. No hoodies or other branded sweatshirts, etc., are allowed.
• Sneakers (no light-up shoes)

 
Dress Down Days 
 
School-Appropriate Attire: Please ensure that your dress-down day outfit complies with the guidelines outlined in the Student Handbook. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to wear crocs, slides, clogs/ mules, slippers, sandals and/or flip flops. By following these guidelines, we can maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.

Please note that all dress-down days are optional, and wearing the school uniform is always acceptable.

Used uniforms are also available in the uniform closet; open during the school day. Everyone is welcome to check out our supply and take whatever can be used.
